Leo De Vries, SS, Athletics: The A's are giving De Vries plenty of opportunities this spring, and he's making the most of all the chances. De Vries went 2-for-4 with a pair of home runs on Sunday. De Vries squared up a Kyle Hurt changeup for a two-run homer in the fourth, and then hit a grand slam in the fifth. While those were the first two homers of the spring for De Vries, he's been excellent overall. He's hitting .385/.429/.615 in 11 games this spring with three stolen bases in four tries. He's also handled 27 chances at shortstop without an error.
Henry Bolte, OF, Athletics: While De Vries was dominating against the Dodgers, right fielder Henry Bolte was doing the same against the Angels in the A's other split-squad game. Bolte went 4-for-4 with two doubles, a home run and a stolen base, which raised his excellent spring training stats to .444/.483/.667 in 29 plate appearances.
Tommy White, 3B, Athletics: It was a great day for A's prospects, as De Vries, Bolte and Tommy White all had days to remember. Against the Angels, White went 3-for-4 with three runs scored and three RBIs thanks to two home runs. White, who looks slimmer, drove his first home run well over the left center field wall. It had an 105.8 mph exit velocity and was estimated at 429 feet. He flipped his second home run over the right field fence with a screaming line drive. White is hitting .500/.556/1.063 overall this spring with three home runs and just one strikeout in 18 plate appearances.
See where all three rank in the Athletics’ Top 30 Prospects.
Tyson Lewis, SS, Reds: Last year, the Reds first-rounder got one solitary at-bat in his first spring training. He struck out. This year, Lewis is getting a bit more playing time and he's making it count. Lewis came in to replace Elly De La Cruz at shortstop, and he went 2-for-2 with a long home run. Facing a 97 mph fastball from Junior Fernandez, Lewis blasted the ball over the left center field fence onto the berm. It was measured at 109.9 mph and estimated at 439 feet. Lewis is hitting .600/.600/1.200 in five plate appearances. He has played shortstop and third base in his limited action.
Alfredo Duno, C, Reds: Duno made his first appearance of the spring at catcher on Sunday, and he responded by hitting his first home run of spring training. It was a two-run blast off Ethan Routzahn. It was estimated at 396 feet and it had a 104.1 mph exit velocity. Duno, the No. 77 prospect in the Top 100, is now 1-for-4 overall this spring. He's expected to head to High-A Dayton this season.
Arjun Nimmala, SS, Blue Jays: Nimmala went 2-for-2 with a walk, a stolen base and a run scored on Sunday in his best game of his spring training. Nimmala, the No. 62 prospect on the Top 100, had two hits in his first eight games before his multi-hit game on Sunday. He's hitting .250/.400/.313 overall, as he has walked four times in nine games while also striking out seven times in 20 plate appearances.

Baseball America Helium Pick Of The Day
Each day, we’ll pick a prospect that has our attention.
Anthony Nunez, RHP, Orioles: Righthander Anthony Nunez, one of the pitchers the Orioles acquired from the Mets at the trade deadline last year, struck out two of the four batters he faced in a scoreless inning of relief work on Sunday. He’s making a case for a bullpen spot. Nunez has been quite effective this spring, allowing three hits in five scoreless innings. He's walked no one and struck out six. Nunez got two swings and misses out of three changeups he threw. He sat at 95-97 mph with his fastball, as he mixed in a cutter as well. Nunez threw nine strikes in 10 pitches. Nunez's strike-throwing has been impressive all spring. He's posted a 65% strike percentage.

Prospect news and notes from around baseball…
Angels outfielder Lucas Ramirez was one of the feel-good stories of the first weekend of WBC action, crushing a pair of homers against Team USA and then throwing a pair of runners out from right field a day later for Brazil. While Brazil has been overmatched on the field, Ramirez and RHP Joseph Contreras, a high school senior who pitched against Team USA and broke Aaron Judge’s bat on an inning-ending double-play, were impressive individual performances.
Ryan Waldschmidt enters 2026 as Arizona’s top prospect, but he will not earn a spot on the Opening Day roster. The D-backs reassigned him to minor league camp on Sunday.
Mets outfielder Carson Benge went 2-for-3 on Sunday and is now hitting .350 through 20 at-bats.
Giants RHP Blade Tidwell had a tough week. After getting touched up by Team USA in a World Baseball Classic tune-up, Tidwell allowed four runs on five hits over 1.2 innings on Sunday against the Cubs.
Brewers 3B Andrew Fischer went yard for Italy in a 7-4 win over Great Britain.
Enrique Bradfield Jr. (Panama) and Owen Caissie (Canada) combined for six hits in Panama’s 4-3 win on Sunday.
On Saturday, Rays RHP prospect Ty Johnson had the most swings and misses (11) of any pitcher in a spring training game.
