Carter Jensen, C, Royals: Jensen homered to break a 1-1 tie against the Guardians in the sixth inning Monday. Kansas City never surrendered the lead and held on to win 4-2. The blast was Jensen's second home run of the season, this one hit at 111.2 mph and traveling 359 feet to right field. He went 2-for-4 with two runs and an RBI in the game. Jensen tallied two other hard-hit balls in the game: a 110 mph single and 100 mph groundout.
Bubba Chandler, RHP, Pirates: The Padres chased Chandler after 4.1 innings on Monday after he allowed four walks and five hits that led to three runs allowed. The 23-year-old also walked six in 4.1 innings in his first start of the season—though in that one he allowed no hits—bringing his season total to 10 walks in 8.2 innings.
Chandler struggled with pitch inefficiency and walks in his latest effort, throwing about 58% strikes, though he hit 100 mph on 13 occasions and drew 11 total whiffs—seven on his fastball and two each on his changeup and slider.
Kevin McGonigle, SS, Tigers: McGonigle stole his first career base in Detroit's 7-3 defeat to the Twins on Monday. He doubled in a 1-for-5 effort at the plate, his two-bagger hit off Joe Ryan in the fifth inning. In the fourth inning, McGonigle reached on an error by shortstop Brooks Lee and then stole second base off Ryan and catcher Victor Caratini. Through 10 games, McGonigle has gone 11-for-38 (.289) with four doubles, a triple, six walks and six strikeouts.

Baseball America Helium Pick Of The Day
Each day, we’ll pick a prospect that has our attention.
Javen Coleman, RHP, Blue Jays: Coleman isn’t overpowering, but he’s showing signs that he can be effective. He did not allow a run or an extra-base hit in 6.2 innings with the big league club in spring training, and he was dominant in an inning in the Spring Breakout game. Coleman sits 93-94 mph with a riding fastball that he can command. Hitters rarely square it up, and he’s shown an average slider and split to go with it.
