Prospect Standouts
Brady House, 3B, Nationals: The Nationals’ No. 3 prospect, House walked it off for Harrisburg on Wednesday as the third baseman hit his second home run in as many games. House was 0-for-3 before he stepped to the plate in the bottom of the ninth and took a 0-1 pitch to the opposite field. House had been on a bit of a cold streak entering the week but has started to head back in the right direction after going 4-for-8 with two home runs over the first two games of the series.
Coby Mayo, 3B, Orioles: The Orioles’ No. 3 prospect moved inside the top 25 in the most recent Top 100 Prospects update. He celebrated on Wednesday by slugging his 10th home run of the season. After a strong showing in Triple-A over the last 62 games of 2023, Mayo has returned to the level and raised his level of play, as he’s hitting .333/.400/.667 over 29 games. In other organizations Mayo likely would have already debuted, but due to Baltimore’s enviable depth Mayo will have to wait a little longer before stepping foot on a major league field.
Junior Caminero, 3B, Rays: The Rays’ No. 1 prospect is knocking on the door once again. Junior Caminero slugged a pair of home runs in the second leg of a doubleheader on Wednesday. Through 14 games at Triple-A, the 20-year-old Caminero now has six home runs and is hitting .333/.390/.759. Caminero’s first home run was a shot, coming off of the bat at 110.2 mph as he took a low and inside changeup 383 feet to his pull side. Caminero looks ready to rejoin the Rays lineup, where he should provide a needed power bat.
JUNIOR CAMINERO HAS DONE IT AGAIN
He homers for the 2nd time in game 2 tonight, giving him a pair of 2-homer games over his last 3 contests going back to Sunday!

AJ Smith-Shawver, RHP, Braves: Since A.J. Smith Shawver’s callup to the major leagues last season things have gone sideways. In the dozen Triple-A starts since his demotion in July of 2023, Smith-Shawver has a 5.40 ERA with a 15.8% walk rate. Smith-Shawver tossed five scoreless innings on Wednesday for the first time since July 23. He struck out five, allowing three hits and a walk.
Jackson Jobe, RHP, Tigers: The Tigers’ top prospect left his start early on Wednesday afternoon due to injury. Jobe came up lame after a throw in the fourth inning and appeared to hobble. The training staff came onto the field where Jobe pointed to his lower body. Jobe walked off the field under his own power, but was slow in his gait toward the dugout. More news to come as updates are provided.

Baseball America Helium Pick Of The Day
Agustin Ramirez, C, Yankees: A powerful showing in April had catcher Agustin Ramirez trending up in the Yankees’ system. The six-foot, 210-pound catcher hit nine home runs through 20 games at Double-A Somerset as part of a .247/.370/.610 start. Ramirez cleared the Class A levels in 2023 but scuffled following an August promotion to Somerset. The 22-year-old was up to the Double-A challenge this season.
