Kendry Chourio, RHP, Royals: Chourio is the youngest pitcher at Low-A this season. Now, the 18-year-old is the youngest pitcher at High-A, following a promotion to Quad Cities.

Chourio opened the season with Low-A Columbia and made 11 starts for the Fireflies. He recorded a 1.88 ERA with 44 strikeouts and nine walks in 48 innings. He throws a ton of strikes with a mid-90s fastball and carved up low-level competition with his low-80s curveball and high-80s changeup.

The Royals signed Chourio out of Venezuela in 2025, and he quickly gained notice as a 17-year-old by advancing from the Dominican Summer League to the Arizona Complex League to the Low-A Carolina League in his pro debut.

Andrew Fischer & Josh Adamczewski, Brewers: The Brewers recently called up shortstop Cooper Pratt from Triple-A and extended the contract of Triple-A center fielder Luis Lara. Now, Milwaukee has two different prospects on the move.

The Brewers are promoting two of their top prospects—third baseman Andrew Fischer and left fielder Josh Adamczewski—from High-A Wisconsin to Double-A Biloxi in time for the Shuckers' home series versus Columbus.

Milwaukee drafted Fischer 20th overall out of Tennessee last year. This year, he led the Midwest League with 20 home runs and a 1.118 OPS at the time of his promotion. He batted .298/.443/.675 in 54 games for Wisconsin with high walk (18%) and strikeout (33%) rates.

Adamczewski is more of a Brewers scouting-and-development success story than first-rounder Fischer. Milwaukee drafted Adamczewski out of an Indiana high school in the 15th round in 2023, going over slot to sign him. He played well in Rookie ball in 2024 and performed at Class A in 2025, though his season ended after 71 games with a back injury.

In 50 games for Wisconsin this year, Adamczewski batted .331/.464/.572 with nine home runs and 10 stolen bases. His OBP ranked second best in the Midwest League.

Victor Gonzalez, 2B/OF, Rangers: Gonzalez signed with the Rangers in January. Six months later, the 17-year-old second baseman/outfielder hit for the cycle in a Dominican Summer League game.

Playing left field for DSL Rangers Red, Gonzalez went 4-for-6 with three runs scored and three RBIs. He tripled in the second inning, homered in the fourth, singled in the fifth and doubled in the sixth. His DSL Rangers Red squad defeated the DSL Phillies by a score of 22–5.

Nine games into his pro career, Gonzalez is batting .267/.436/.800 with three home runs, six walks and eight strikeouts. He is a lefthanded hitter listed at 5-foot-9, 165 pounds.

Ryjeteri Merite, LHP, Reds: Merite is exactly the kind of prospect who opens eyes on the backfields. He’s got a diverse pitch package, an athletic delivery and plenty of paths to a high ceiling. After two years in the Dominican Summer League, Merite has moved stateside and is one of the more intriguing arms in the Arizona Complex League. The lefthander throws four- and two-seam fastballs in the mid 90s and backs them with a slicing slider, curveball and changeup. Each of his pitches flashes at least average, though there’s plenty of work to be done to keep his delivery synced up and his pitches crisp. If he reaches his ceiling, it’s easy to imagine a future in a big league rotation.
