Ethan Salas, C, Padres: The Ethan Salas Redemption Tour is in full swing. After a lost year in 2025, the resurgent backstop is back with a vengeance. Still one of the youngest players in Double-A, Salas opened San Antonio's series with Midland by going 3-for-5 with a double—his sixth of the year—as well as a run and an RBI. He's also caught 6 of 31 attempted basestealers (19.4%). It's still early, but Salas looks like he's well on the way to recapturing the magic he showed in the early days of his career.

Joseph Dzierwa, LHP, Orioles: It's no secret that Dzierwa is having his way with the South Atlantic League. The southpaw with the dynamite changeup has been confounding hitters ever since his first pitch on Opening Day, and he put together another tour de force on Tuesday. Facing Jersey Shore, Dzierwa navigated five innings with a walk as the only blemish on his ledger. He struck out six hitters. For the season, Dzierwa has struck out 35 hitters and allowed just 15 hits over 32 innings.

Jackson Cox, RHP, Rockies: After injuries scuttled the early days of his career, Cox seems to be delivering on the promise he showed as an amateur. He finished 2025 strong at Low-A Fresno, and on Tuesday he put together a gem. Facing Tri-City, Cox went seven innings and allowed just one run on one hit and three walks while striking out nine. The outing was his second straight with nine punchouts. Over that span, he's gone 13 innings and allowed just two runs on four hits and five walks while striking out 18 hitters.

Keyner Martinez, RHP, Giants: Martinez was one of the breakout stars for the Giants in 2025, and on Tuesday he posted the best start of his young career. Facing Fresno, Martinez spun five innings of three-hit, one-run ball with 10 strikeouts and no walks. After the outing, Martinez now has 34 strikeouts and 10 walks in 20.2 innings. With the effort, Martinez now leads the Cal League in strikeouts.

Alirio Ferrebus, C, Phillies: Ferrebus is one of the more intriguing backstop prospects in the Phillies' lower levels, and on Tuesday he showed exactly why he's earned that reputation. Against Daytona, Ferrebus went 4-for-4 with a pair of home runs and five RBIs. The multi-homer game was Ferrebus' first since May 16, when he turned the trick in the Florida Complex League.

Baseball America Helium Pick Of The Day

Each day, we’ll pick a prospect that has our attention.

Enddy Azocar, OF, Red Sox: In 2025, Azocar hit six home runs in 85 games between the Florida Complex League and Low-A Salem. In 25 games back in the Carolina League this season, he's just one home run away from matching that total. His latest longball came on Tuesday in Salem's series-opener against Delmarva as part of a 3-for-5 effort with three runs and two stolen bases. In addition to the longballs, Azocar already has 14 extra-base hits, which is 58.3% of the total he put together in 2025.
