Chase Burns, RHP, Reds: All season, Burns has been nothing short of sensational. The No. 2 overall pick in last year's draft blitzed the competition in the Midwest League with nary a blip to his name before earning a bump to Double-A Chattanooga. With the Lookouts, it's been more of the same: High-velocity fastballs and slippery sliders working in concert to give hitters the heebie-jeebies. In his latest turn, Burns grounded Rocket City for five innings of one-run ball with seven strikeouts. For the season, the Wake Forest alum has 55 strikeouts in 35.2 innings.

Henry Bolte, OF, Athletics: All May long, Bolte has gone ... wait for it ... nuts. The stretch continued on Tuesday, when he put a hex on Frisco's pitchers by collecting three hits and finishing a triple short of the cycle. The double and home run were Bolte's seventh and six, respectively, of the season. In May, Bolte is hitting .364/.476/.667 with five doubles, three triples and three home runs. A strikeout rate hovering around 30% for the month still is concerning, but the contact he does make often results in impact.

Robert Hassell III, OF, Nationals: And then there was one. Three years ago, when they traded Juan Soto to San Diego, the Nationals received five players: Big league veteran Luke Voit, lefty MacKenzie Gore, shortstop CJ Abrams, outfielder James Wood, righty Jarlin Susana and outfielder Robert Hassell III. Gore, Abrams and Wood have each become integral pieces in Washington. Now, Hassell will get his chance. Outfielder Dylan Crews hurt his back against the Braves, opening the door for Hassell's big league debut. The move was first reported by Chase Ford. With Triple-A Rochester, Hassell was hitting .288/.337/.405 with seven doubles, four home runs and nine stolen bases. That total included a pair of doubles on Tuesday before he got the callup.

Eduardo Tait, C, Phillies: Tait is young and powerful. He opened the year as the second-youngest player in the Florida State League, behind only Marlins prospect Andrew Salas. So far, he's had no trouble facing exclusively advanced pitching. On Tuesday, he put together another stellar game. This time, facing Bradenton, Tait collected two hits, including his seventh home run of the year. The blast, which produced an exit velocity of 111 mph and tied him for second in the league behind teammate Aroon Escobar and Palm Beach's Josh Kross.

Christian Moore, 2B, Angels: Moore is moving up to Triple-A Salt Lake. The move comes after Moore spent 34 games at Double-A Rocket City this year. He hit only .234/.342/.323 overall for the Trash Pandas, and he's not yet shown the power that made him the eighth pick in last year's draft. Moore has just one extra-base hit (a double) in his past 15 games and has one home run this season.

In 2024, Moore hit 34 home runs in 72 games at Tennessee, and six more in 25 MiLB games.

Moore seemed to be on track to get a call up to the big leagues last season before a knee injury ended his season prematurely. He came into spring training battling for a job with the big league club, but he's found this season to be a bit tougher to get untracked. He's kept his strikeout rate to maintainable level (27%) but he has struggled with swings and misses in the strike zone. While he's hitting the ball hard, he's rarely pulling the ball in the air, which helps explain his lack of power production.

Baseball America Helium Pick Of The Day

Each day, we’ll pick a prospect that has our attention.

Yandel Ricardo, INF, Royals: Ricardo is one of Kansas City's brightest young prospects. He ranked as one of the best in the Dominican Summer League in 2024 and has been excellent in the early days of the Arizona Complex League. He took things up a notch on Tuesday by swatting his first home run of the season—a grand slam no less—in a tilt against the Cubs at Surprise Stadium. He hit two homers in 164 at-bats last year in the DSL. He also added a double and his eighth stolen base of the year.
