Charlie Condon, OF, Rockies: For most of the season, Yankees prospect Spencer Jones turned Double-A Somerset into a personal launching pad. While Jones has since moved on, for at least one day, visiting slugger Charlie Condon took a turn. Condon launched two homers in a 5-3 win for Hartford in the second game of a doubleheader on Thursday. Last year's No. 3 overall pick is starting to show a bit more power in August with four homers in his last nine games, which is an encouraging sign as he continues to put his early-season wrist injury behind him. Condon is now hitting .258/.370./.469 with six homers in 36 games since reaching Double-A.
Caleb Bonemer, SS, White Sox: Bonemer belted his ninth home run of the season as part of a 3-for-5 night at Low-A Delmarva that raised his OPS to a Carolina League-leading .857. The White Sox 2024 second-rounder hit a double to left field that one-hopped the wall in the third inning and then homered deep to left in the fifth. He added an infield hit in the seventh. Bonemer is hitting .282/.404/.453 in 94 games.
Aidan Miller, SS, Phillies: Miller homered twice onto the grass berm in left field at Double-A Altoona in a 3-for-5 day at the plate. His fifth-inning blast plated two runs, while in the seventh he hit a solo shot. The Phillies prospect has back-to-back three-hit games and is raking in August with a .356/.435/.658 batting line in 17 games. Miller has 12 homers and an Eastern League-leading 47 stolen bases on the season.

Robby Snelling, LHP, Marlins: Snelling continued his run of quality starts in the Triple-A International League, extending his streak to six in a row, with six shutout innings in the first game of a doubleheader at Worcester on Thursday He struck out eight, walked three and allowed four hits. Snelling generated strikeouts on three pitch types: four with his curveball, three with his four-seam fastball and one with his changeup. In seven starts for Jacksonville, Snelling has a 1.13 ERA in 39.2 innings with 51 strikeouts and 10 walks. Opponents are hitting .203.

Eli Willits, SS, Nationals: Willits made quite the first impression with Low-A Fredericksburg Thursday night, going 3-for-4 with two RBIs in his full-season debut, a 10-6 win over Astros affiliate Fayetteville. Willits, who batted seventh and manned shortstop, also stole a base, walked and scored a run. All three of Willits' hits were singles. The well-rounded infielder slotted in at No. 30 on our Top 100 and is one of the more intriguing players to watch over the final month of the minor league season.
Rafael Flores & Nick Yorke, Pirates: The Pirates' offense once again sputtered this season in the big leagues, but reinforcements are in the not-too-distant future. Yorke and Flores combined for seven hits and drove in eight runs for Triple-A Indianapolis in a 16-1 thumping of Syracuse. Yorke was particularly impressive, stinging a pair of doubles and driving in five runs himself.
Unlocking big league contributions from both would be a win for the Pirates, who have started to see success in the lower levels with Konnor Griffin and Edward Florentino, but have still struggled to supplement the big league club with enough offensive firepower from the upper minors. Yorke was initially considered a potential option at either second base or right field but has struggled for most of the season and fell to No. 15 in our latest Pirates rankings, although he's hitting .304 in August. Flores, meanwhile, ranks ninth and was the main piece acquired from the Yankees at the deadline in the David Bednar trade. Both could plausibly see some time in Pittsburgh before the season is over.

Baseball America Helium Pick Of The Day
Each day, we’ll pick a prospect that has our attention.
Caden Scarborough, RHP, Rangers: One of the biggest breakout pitching prospects of 2025 continued his dominance on Thursday, as Rangers righthander Caden Scarborough tossed five scoreless innings with nine strikeouts in his High-A debut. Scarborough sat down the first six batters he faced before allowing a hit to open the third. Scarborough allowed just two baserunners and dominated with his premium stuff. Scarborough sat 95-96 mph early before settling in at 93-94 mph. He mixed in his plus breaking ball, ripping off 3,000 rpm sliders with up to 19 inches of horizontal break. Scarborough showed a splitter as well as he overwhelmed the Greenville lineup. After catching scouts' attention coming out of spring training, Scarborough enters the offseason as one of the biggest rising prospects of 2025.
