Charlie Condon Collects Five Hits In The Desert

Plus: Daniel Espino touches 100, prospect scouting reports for every World Series player.

Charlie Condon, OF/1B, Rockies: Condon is best known for his raw power at the plate, but on Wednesday evening with the Salt River Rafters, the Rockies prospect proved he’s more than just a slugger. Condon went 5-for-6, scoring twice and showcasing an impressive knack for making consistent, quality contact. It marked the first time Colorado’s 2024 first-round pick achieved a five-hit game since March 30, 2024, against Tennessee—back when he was rewriting the record books with the Georgia Bulldogs. Condon is hitting .341 with through the midway point of the Arizona Fall League, an encouraging sign considering he started off so slowly.

Daniel Espino, RHP, Guardians: It’s been a long road to recovery for Espino. So far, so good as Espino has returned to action with Surprise in the Arizona Fall League. The righthander has yet to allow a run over three single-inning appearances. On Wednesday, Espino opened Surprise's 10-1 drubbing of Scottsdale by throwing a scoreless first, striking out three. Espino hit 100 mph during the start and has shown his signature stuff in his return to action in 2025.

Josh Adamczewski, 2B/OF, Brewers: It was a great year for Adamczewski, who broke out with Low-A Carolina by showing advanced feel to hit with average or better power projection, even if he only hit five home runs. After missing two months with left sacroiliac joint irritation, Adamczewski is making up for lost time while learning to play the outfield with in the Arizona Fall League. On Wednesday, Adamczewski hit his third home run of the fall circuit. Adamczewski is a bat-first prospect with defensive questions but he has a nice blend of power and feel to hit.

Kevin McGonigle, SS, Tigers: While many expected McGonigle to take the Arizona Fall League by storm, it’s hasn’t been the case over the first few weeks. While McGonigle has gotten on-base and hit for average, on Wednesday he finally broke through with his first home run of the fall. McGonigle connected for the homer in the top of the eighth when he took a 90 mph fastball 416 feet to right-center field. McGonigle has had a long season and will rank as one of the top two prospects in the game this offseason.

Carlson Reed, RHP, Pirates: A back injury delayed the start of Reed's season to late May and when he returned, his stuff wasn't quite as crisp compared to 2024 when he posted a 1.99 ERA over 108.2 innings between two Class A levels. The Pirates sent the righthander to the Arizona Fall League to log more innings, and Wednesday's start was a step in the right direction. Reed threw four scoreless innings while striking out four, including sitting down a big leaguer, A's infielder Max Muncy, as well as Rays infielder Brayden Taylor and Marlins outfielder PJ Morlando. Reed's sinker sat in the 92-94 mph range for most of his outing.
