Carter Jensen, C, Royals: Jensen, the newest addition to the Top 100 Prospects list, hit his seventh home run in just 15 games since he was promoted to the International League. Jensen showed very easy power in batting practice in the Futures Game, and that was apparent again on Sunday with a 109.4 mph/436-foot blast to right field. it cleared the stands to exit the stadium. Jensen is hitting .291/.363/.471 overall. After hitting six home runs in 68 games in the Texas League, he's more than doubled his home run total in less than a month.
Spencer Jones, OF, Yankees: The Yankees finally promoted Jones to Triple-A Scranton Wilkes-Barre on June 27 after more than two full seasons in Double-A. Jones has quickly shown he was ready for the challenge. On Sunday, Jones his his ninth and 10th home runs in just his 16th Triple-A game. He's now hitting .426/.481/.941 at Triple-A, and he's homered in each of his last three games. Jones has 29 hits overall in those 16 games, 15 of which are for extra bases. He's now fourth on the team in home runs, even though he's just arrived. On Sunday, his first homer was a 445-foot blast to center field. He then followed it up by poking an opposite field fly ball into the left field stands.
George Lombard Jr., SS, Yankees: George Lombard Jr. homered for the second time in two days on Sunday, providing a power surge in what has been a relatively quiet year for him as a slugger. While Lombard's defense has drawn raves, and he has very keen batting eye, Lombard returned from the Futures Game with just three home runs in 81 games this year. He now has five in 84 games. Lombard is hitting .208/.328/.338 for Somerset and .242/.378/.379 overall. Sunday's two-run home run broke up Hartford's shutout to cut the lead to one, but the Yard Goats held on for a 3-2 win.
Leo De Vries, SS, Padres: Fresh off a trip to Atlanta for the Futures Game, De Vries went 2-for-4 on Sunday with his seventh home run of the season for High-A Fort Wayne. After struggling in June (.198/.375/.284), De Vries has picked up the pace at the plate this month. He's hitting .279/.367/.558 in July and he's now hitting .248/.359/.414 overall.
Jarlin Susana, RHP, Nationals: After missing more than two months with an elbow strain, Susana didn't take long to show he's back to his pre-injury form. Although he pitched only two innings, he touched 102 mph on the stadium radar gun, and he reached triple digits 12 times in 34 pitches according to the Wilmington broadcast. Susana allowed two hits, one run and two walks while striking out two. He looked better than that stat line may indicate. No Aberdeen hitter squared him up.
Both of the hits were ground balls that barely left the infield. The only run scored on a chopper that shortstop Armando Cruz couldn't field (it was ruled an error). Susana induced two foul pop outs to first base. Susana struck out Vance Honeycutt to start the game and he struck out Griff O'Ferrall to end the second inning.
Noah Schultz, LHP, White Sox: Schultz was scratched from Saturday's start for Triple-A Charlotte after he had a sore right knee while warming up. On Sunday, he was placed on the seven-day IL, which means he'll miss at least one start. Schultz is 4-4, 4.76 this season. He was excellent at Double-A Birmingham, but he's gone 0-1, 11.91 with 18 hits, eight walks and 15 runs allowed in 11.1 innings since his June promotion to Charlotte.

Baseball America Helium Pick Of The Day
Each day, we’ll pick a prospect that has our attention.
Johnny King, LHP, Blue Jays: Recently promoted to Low-A Dunedin, King held Tampa to one hit in four scoreless innings in his most dominating performance since arriving from the Florida Complex League.
In his fourth appearance for Dunedin, King made a relief appearance after the rehabbing Alex Manoah started. While Manoah gave up three hits and a run in the first two innings, King struck out nine of the 18 batters he faced, although he did walk four batters. He sat 93-94 mph with his sinker and four-seamer, and he got six whiffs with his high-70s curveball.
Overall, King is 1-1, 1.70 in 37 innings this year. He has a unsightly 12.7% walk rate, but he also has a hard-to-fathom 42.4% strikeout rate this year.
