Jesús Made, SS, Brewers In recent days, the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers have become one of the most prospect-laden teams in the minor leagues. They added the dynamic duo of Made and Luis Peña from Low-A Carolina, and on Thursday welcomed 2024 first-rounder Andrew Fischer to the fray. Those three formed the top third of the lineup, and they did not waste time putting on a show. Facing Great Lakes, Made, Peña and Fischer combined for eight of their team's 13 hits, scored four of their team's eight runs and racked up four RBIs. Fischer and Made each had three singles, and Peña counted a double among his two hits. Fischer also added two stolen bases.
David Davalillo, RHP, Rangers: A year ago, Davalillo took home the minor league ERA crown with a 1.88 mark. He's unlikely to take the the title for a second straight summer, but there's a good chance he finishes with an ERA under 2.00 in consecutive seasons. He took strides toward that end on Thursday by spinning seven stellar innings against Midland. By the time he'd handed the ball to reliever Joey Danielson, Davalillo had racked up seven scoreless frames, allowed just three hits, walked nobody and struck out one. He also got 10 ground outs in the process. Now pitching in the hitter-friendly Texas League, Davalillo has been undaunted. Through 38.2 innings, he's allowed just seven earned runs, walked a dozen and struck out 33.
Ryan Waldschmidt, OF, Diamondbacks: Waldschmidt has had an excellent first full season as a pro after getting his feet wet last summer post-draft. He's split the 2025 campaign between High-A Hillsboro and Double-A Amarillo. Surprisingly, he hasn't posted big power numbers at the latter stop despite it being one of the most hitter-friendly parks in the minors. On Thursday, he changed all that. Against Corpus Christi, the Kentucky product went 3-for-5 and collected a pair of homers and four RBIs in the process. The outburst tripled his Texas League home run total.
Ryan Waldschmidt got ALL of this one 😤

Braden Montgomery, OF, White Sox: The White Sox's system is about to take a bit of a hit for all the right reasons. Catcher Kyle Teel has graduated from prospect status, and Colson Montgomery isn't far behind. When that happens, another Montgomery will inch closer to the top. Montgomery—acquired from Boston in the deal that made Garrett Crochet change his Sox—gave Southern League onlookers a taste of his talent on Thursday. Facing Pensacola and resurgent pitching prospect Dax Fulton, Montgomery went 3-for-5 with a pair of doubles, two RBIs and a walk. He's now 18-for-58 (.310) through his first 15 games in the upper minors.
Jadher Areinamo, 2B, Rays: Among the Rays' wheelings and dealings at the deadline was the acquisition of Areinamo from Milwaukee in the trade that sent catcher Danny Jansen to Milwaukee. Areinamo is one of the finest defensive second basemen in the minor leagues, but on Thursday he got to show off a bit of his offensive game. In the first half of Double-A Montgomery's twinbill with Chattanooga, Areinamo went 4-for-4 with a double and an RBI. The output marked Areinamo's third four-hit game of the season and first since moving to Double-A.

Baseball America Helium Pick Of The Day
Each day, we’ll pick a prospect that has our attention.
Dillon Lewis, OF, Yankees: In an effort to revamp their roster, the Yankees dealt 10 of their Top 30 prospects. As it turns out, they kept at least one big bopper in their system. Lewis is among the most tooled-up players in the organization, and he put on an impressive display of pyrotechnics on Thursday. Facing Aberdeen, the center fielder and leadoff man went 3-for-5 with two doubles and a home run. Lewis carries with him the coveted power-speed combination, and he'll be especially valuable if he can stick in center fielder. With his next double, he'll join Twins prospect Kyler Fedko as the only players in the minor leagues with 20 doubles, 20 homers and 20 stolen bases.
